Lunna Designs is a hardwood stair shop in College Point, New York. We’ve been building staircases across the region since 2007 — private residences on Long Island, penthouses in the city, design-build projects, and commercial interiors. We mill, edge-join, and sand every tread by hand. The shop is small on purpose.

We work with four Signature hardwoods sourced from North America: white oak, red oak, hard maple, walnut. Exotic species are available from around the world. For specialty materials — structural glass, cast concrete, stone — we partner with engineers and fabricators we trust, project by project.

Orders ship in six weeks. Flat-fee delivery covers NYC Metro, Lower Westchester, and Nassau County; the rest of the country ships with shipping calculated at checkout. Solid wood and engineered treads are available. Engineered wood treads are our standard for a luxury experience — your selected species across every surface-facing area, over an internal core built for moisture resistance and superior stability. Hand-sanded to 220 grit and shipped ready for your finishing; ask about our pre-delivery finishing and color-match service.
